Tanka Dhakal is an investigative reporting fellow at NIMJN. He is an independent journalist based in Kathmandu Nepal. He reports on the environment, climate change, science, health, labor migrations and marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+. His work has been published in NPR, The Third Pole (Dialogue Earth), IPS News, ICIJ, The Guardian, NBC News, ARIJ, and Wisconsin Watch, among many others.
Through rigorous reporting he always tries to connect dots between lived experience of people in the frontline, policy, and science. He focuses on In-depth and investigative narrative storytelling to bring a real picture of the ground and is always willing to share experience with fellow journalists.
