Manika BK is a DEI fellow at NIMJN. She started her journalism career in Chitwan and currently works at Setopati.com. With nearly five years of experience in the field of journalism, she has covered stories related to animals, the human rights of children and women and has also been covering the LGBTQI+ communities’ issues in Nepal. She has completed her Bachelor's degree in journalism.  She also recently completed a research paper on ‘Identity movement of the LGBTQI+ community.

As a NIMJN DEI fellow, Manika is interested in doing stories on underreported and unreported issues of the LGBTQI+ communities in Nepal.
