Madhuri Mahato is a DEI Fellow at NIMJN. She is a journalist based in Birgunj with 15 years of experience in this field. She focuses her work on illiteracy, poverty, violence against women, marginalized and Dalit women, climate change, and gender-based issues in her community. Her current professional portfolio includes her work for the BBC Nepali service for the past 7 years as a freelance reporter for the Madhesh province, a freelance reporter for Kantipur TV, and editor of Madheshkhabar.com

As one of the NIMJN DEI fellows, Madhuri is interested in focusing on issues of women and marginalized communities in the Madhesh province.
