Dinesh Regmi

Dinesh Regmi Investigative Reporting Fellow
Mr. Dinesh Regmi is a Kathmandu, Nepal-based investigative journalist who joined Nepal Investigative Multimedia Journalism Network (NIMJN) as a Sr. Reporting Fellow. He has been working with the Kantipur National Daily for more than two decades. He reported on labor migration and human trafficking issues from Nepal and also from Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He worked as Arab Bureau Correspondent based in Qatar from 2009 to 2012. He also contributed reporting to BBC Nepali Service from the Middle East. In his two and half decades of journalistic journey, Regmi expanded his reporting horizon from Armed Conflict, Constituent Assembly, Federal Parliament, and Child Marriage to the Right to Information. He is a contributing writer for "Combating Trafficking in Person, a Resource Book for Teachers" published by World Education Nepal, The Asia Foundation, and USAID in August 2016. He holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism (MA-MCJ). He is the recipient of the Panos South Asia Media Fellowship- 2016. Regmi is focusing on investigative stories of diverse aspects of Labor Migration and Human Trafficking.
